Khazna Data Centres Expand and Emphasize Sustainability in the Middle East

- Khazna Data Centres is significantly expanding in the UAE and the Middle East, with 12 data centres in operation and another 12 under construction

Here are some key developments undertaken to reduce emissions from data centres around the world:
- STT Global Data Centres India achieved 45.6% reduction in carbon intensity, and secured green financing of S$2.5 billion
- In 2022, Meta's newest data center buildings achieved a Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of 1.09 and a Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE) of 0.20.
- Google's data centers achieved carbon neutrality in 2007 and aim to reach zero carbon by 2030 through strategies including shifting computing tasks to cleaner power grid times
