Mechanical Design Engineer
Location : Sri City, Andhra Pradesh
Description
- Design & Development of Special purpose machines and Jigs/Fixtures, improve efficiency of SPM by analyzing the issues.
- To analyse existing assembly Automation machines thereby improving the efficiency of Machines
- Designing of various mechanisms.
- Designing of Special Purpose Machines
- Preparation of RFQ, BOM and ROI.
- Design Review and prototyping.
- Able to select different material selection & pneumatic components as per the need.
- Manufacturing drawings with GD&T.
- Planning of outsource project with the vendor and ensure its timely completion.
- Frequent travelling to vendor’s factory for inspection and trials.
- Installation of the machine and stabilizing the performance.
- Maintenance of machine.
- 5S & safety improvement on shop floor.
Background Needed
- Mechanical Engineer with 3-4 years total Experience in design & development (Automation) domain
- Good exposure of all manufacturing processes (conventional & unconventional)
- Hands on experience on Solid Works or similar software
- Basics of plastic part and sheet metal parts design
- Experienced in SPM design, development, and maintenance
- Microsoft Office – PPT and Excel
- Pneumatic and electrical components working and selection
Skills Required
- Strong communication skills to deal with CFT and vendors.
- Project timeline planning and costing of the project.
- Reverse Engineering
- Team leadership for problem solving.
- Creative thinking for problem solving & material saving & productivity.
- Risk assessment.
