Roles & Responsibilities
1. Energy Audits -
- Evaluate various systems, equipment, and processes to determine energy consumption.
- Conduct an Energy Audit to assess energy usage, analyze energy consumption patterns, and identify areas of inefficiency in buildings or facilities.
- Establishing an annual schedule for visiting the sites, auditing the energy conservation measures put in place there, and providing the leadership team with further recommendations.
- Creating and updating the SOPs for energy audits for both new projects and current client sites.
2. Data Collection and Analysis -
- Collect and analyze energy consumption data, utility bills, and other relevant information for understanding energy usage patterns and trends.
- Identify facility usage patterns in order to compare annual and monthly energy needs for all forms of energy against actual usage.
- Identify areas of high energy consumption and potential energy-saving opportunities.
- Analyze the technical feasibility of energy-saving measures through knowledge of engineering, energy production, energy use, maintenance,
- system operations, and energy-saving technologies, systems, processes, tools, and behaviors.
3. Energy Audit Report and Recommendations -
- Prepare detailed audit reports that document the energy audit's findings, analysis, and recommendations.
- Provide clients with a clear understanding of their energy usage, areas of inefficiency, and actionable steps to improve energy performance.
- and answering their technical queries related to the recommendations proposed.
- Identify cost-effective solutions, such as equipment upgrades, retorts, behavior modifications, and renewable energy integration, to achieve energy conservation.
4. Client Collaboration -
- Collaborate closely with clients, building owners, facility managers, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the auditing process.
- Recognize client needs, address particular energy issues, and create customized energy management strategies.
Background Needed
- B.Tech/ B.E. in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
- Bureau of Energy Efficiency Certified Energy Auditor
- More than 5 years of experience in Energy Audit.
- Should have extensive experience in conducting a comprehensive energy audit for over 20-30 sites in various verticals such as commercial buildings, process industries, and so on.
Skills Required
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately collect, analyze, and interpret energy data.
- Knowledge of energy conservation principles, thermodynamics, operations, and maintenance.
- Basic understanding of methods used for technical and cost savings analysis and reporting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively convey audit findings, and recommendations.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify energy-saving opportunities and develop solutions.
