Emissions data available for less than 1% of buildings
Buildings are responsible for about 40% of global energy consumption and about 33% of CO2 emissions.
That’s a stunning percentage.
But what’s even more stunning is, we know little or nothing about emissions data for about 99% of the buildings worldwide, according to a World Economic Forum report.
There could not be a bigger clarion call for stakeholders relevant to building energy emissions – real estate firms, construction firms, city administration and digital solution firms – to seize this big challenge as a massive opportunity for climate action.
