Down in biofuels, will algae succeed with concrete?

Biofuels from microalgae has reached a dead end, at least for now. Could concrete from algae have a rosier future?

In contrast to traditional Portland cement, the startup Prometheus Materials’ microalgae-based bio-cement emits little CO2, recycles 95% of water used for production, and presents the potential of sequestering the carbon captured during its growth.
